Florence E. Keagy

Florence Eleanor (Wood) Keagy, 91, of Wyomissing, died September 8, 2012 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.

She was the widow of C. William Keagy who died September 18, 1998.

Born May 5, 1921, in Roaring Spring, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Thomas and Loretta (Green) Wood.

Florence was a graduate of Altoona High School and attended Westminster College.

She was employed as a clerk with Paoli Hospital for a number of years.

Florence was a member of Order of the Eastern Star.

She served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was stationed in The Pentagon.

Surviving are her two daughters, Carol Ann (Diefenderfer), wife of Robert W. Morrison of Reading and Janet W. (Diefenderfer) wife of Allen A. Caswell, III of Piscatawny, NJ.

Also surviving are four grandchildren: Allen A. Caswell IV, Elizabeth E. Morrison, Matthew C. Caswell, Erin Caswell and two great grandchildren, Benjamin and Khloe.

She was predeceased by a sister, Janet W. Whiteside.
