Florence H. Hatzas

Florence H. Hatzas, 76, died January 16, 2010 in her Kenhorst residence.

Her husband, James Hatzas, died in June of 1994.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Walter J. and Helen J. (Wawrzonek) Cyran.

She was a graduate of Reading High School.

Florence was a member of: St. Stephen's Polish National Catholic Church, Red Hatters, Polish Flacons and the Kenhorst Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She also loved the casinos, especially the slot machines and being the mayor's mother.

She is survived by her son Nickolas J., Kenhorst.

A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. There will be a wake service Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Requiem High Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen's Polish National Catholic Church, 10 St. Stephen's Church Lane, Reading, PA 19607.
