Florence E. Reitnauer

Florence Elizabeth (Miller) Reitnauer, 91, of Reading, died June 9, 2010 in the Lutheran Home at Topton.

She was the wife of Lloyd Daniel Reitnauer, who died February 2, 2000.

Born in Reading, PA on November 13, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Robert and S. Edna (Herring) Miller.

She was a 1936 graduate of Reading High School.

Florence was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

She was employed as a waitress at Arner's, Reading for five years and then employed another 10 years with Sho-Boat, Reading.

Florence was last employed with Boscov's for 2 1/2 years before retiring in 1981.

She is survived by three children: Judith V., wife of Larry M. Kline of Riverview Park; Ann E., widow of Ralph R. Hoffman of Muhlenberg Township and Lloyd D. Reitnauer, Jr., of Front Royal, Virginia.

Other survivors include a sister, Marie L. Fortna of The Villages, Florida.

There are also 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Paul D. Reitnauer; a grandson, Staff Sgt. Gavin R. Reitnauer; two half-sisters: Myrtle Schell and Ethel E. Marks and a half-brother, Winifred Krammes.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with Rev. Grant A. Wickert officating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
