Florence L Bingaman

Florence "Sadie" L. (Osman) Bingaman, 83, of West Lawn, died November 20, 2016 in the Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of Donald D. Bingaman who passed away in August of 2004.

Born in Hegins, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mildred (Herb) Osman.

She was a 1954 graduate of Ashland State General Hospital School of Nursing

Florence worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital for 15 years before her retirement in 1978.

She was a member of Advent Lutheran Church of West Lawn, 4-H Club, and the Red Hats Society. She also did volunteer work for Crime Watch in West Lawn.

Florence loved embroidery, making cards, playing cards, and writing rhymes.

She is survived by 2 step-children: Douglas D., husband of Donna Bingaman, Wyomissing; and Donna D. Eckert, Reading. She is also survived by 5 step-grandchildren and 10 step-greatgrandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Friday, November 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Phoebe Berks, 1 Reading Dr., Wernersville, PA 19565. A viewing will precede the service from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Phoebe Berks. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Shillington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Florence's memory to Animal Rescue League of Berks County at 58 Kennel Rd, Birdsboro, PA 19508. Edward J.
