Fernne Louise (Gray) Myers, 87, of Wyomissing, formerly of Monroeville, PA, died July 13, 2008 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
She was the widow of Edward Jay Myers, who died in 1999.
Born in Pittsburgh on February 4, 1921, she was a daughter of the late James Nicoll Gray and Jessie Rhue (Hammer) Gray.
Fernne was a 1938 graduate of Swissvale High School, and a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Shillington.
Fernne was employed a number of years as a draftsman with Asbury Industries, Murrysville.
She was an avid bridge player, watercolor painter and loved genealogy.
Fernne is survived by two daughters: Lauren M. wife of John Hermann of Cassagnes-Comtaux, France and Carole M. wife of John E. Carlson of Wyomissing.
She is also survived by two grandchildren: Edward A. Carlson and Julia G. Carlson and two nieces: Lynne Richardson and Christine Davis.
Fernne was predeceased by a sister, Donna G. Davis.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 30 Liberty Street, Shillington, PA 19607. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church at the above address and/or the Berks Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice, 1170 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610.
