Ferne A. Schoelkopf

Ferne A. Schoelkopf, 93, formerly of Waverly Street, Shillington, died Oct. 13 at 10:50 a.m. in the Landis Homes, Manheim Township, Lancaster County.

Her husband, George E. Schoelkopf, died April 7, 1995.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Beula (Miller) Shappell.

Schoelkopf was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Reading.

Surviving are two sons, Dr. Rodney L., Walterboro, S.C., and Thomas E., Millersville, Lancaster County.

Other survivors include a brother, Earl Shappell, Oley; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be private in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be private in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton.
