Fern E. Ream

Fern E. (Dobbs) Ream, 94, of Wyomissing, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017, in Spruce Manor.

She was married to the late Edward F. Ream, who died June 17, 1994.

Born in Shamokin, she was the daughter of the late William I. and Nora (Bott) Dobbs.

Fern was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Berkshire Heights, where she sang on the choir since 1946.

She was employed at Willson Safety Products, Reading, where she sewed ski goggles for the government aiding in the war effort. Fern later worked at Friendly's Restaurant, Wyomissing, until her retirement in 1980.

Fern is survived by a son, David F., husband of Darlene (Gross) Ream, NJ; a daughter, Dawn E. Ream, Wyomissing; and a sister Nancy L. (Dobbs) Frankhouser, Lancaster. Three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive her.

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 19, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
