Fern J. Smith

Fern June (Kulp) Smith, 90, of Laureldale, died _____, 2011 in Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of John Joseph Smith who died December 12, 1983.

Born September 20, 1920 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late John and Ethel I. (Griffith) Kulp.

Fern was a 1938 graduate of Reading High School.

She was employed as a clerk with both Oscar Stump Grocery, Mt. Penn and Reading Fairgrounds Market, Muhlenberg Township, retiring in 1982.

Fern was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ, Laureldale.

Surviving are three sons, Michael J., husband of ______ __. (________) Smith of Dallas, TX; Thomas C., husband of ________ __. (__________) Smith of Shillington and Mark A., husband of ________ ___. (____________) Smith of Temple.

Other survivors include four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services will be _____ at ___ a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Burial will be private at Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
