Fern M. Bryan

Fern M. Bryan, 83 of Hamburg died October 13th in the Weston Senior Living Center, Orwigsburg. She was the widow of William H., Bryan who died May 27th, 2013. Fern was born in Windsor Township and was the daughter of the late Leroy S. and Viola S. (Miller) Heckman. She was a 1948 graduate of Hamburg High School and a member of the First United Church of Christ, Hamburg. She worked for many years as a machine operator at various knitting mills in the area. Fern is survived by 2 sons: Jerry L. Herber and Roy A. Herber both of Hamburg, 2 brothers: Kenneth C. Heckman, Hamburg and Gary L. Heckman, Summit View, CA. and 2 step sons: William R. Bryan, Honolulu, Hawaii and David E. Bryan, Horsham, PA. And 2 grandsons and 3 step grand children. In addition to her husband, Fern was predeceased by 1 sister: Leona Roeder, 3 brothers: Leroy Heckman, Sylvester Heckman and Glenn Heckman and a step daughter: Sharon Steffy, and a step son: Timothy C.
