Fern M. (Leiby) Adam, 81 of Windsor Township died September 20, 2018 in her residence. Fern was the widow of Harold M. Adam who died February 28, 2016. She was born in Windsor Township and was the daughter of the late Jacob G. and Marion (Strausser) Leiby. Fern was a 1954 graduate of Hamburg High School and was a member of Zion's Church, Windsor Castle and the Virginville Grange. Early in Fern's career she was a milkmaid working at several dairy farms and last working for the Christman Farm. She continued her employment working at the Laurel Center in the kitchen and laundry room. She was last employed in the office at Harold Adam Refuse. Fern is survived by her daughters, Yvonne wife of Dennis Davis, Perry Township, Audrey Trostel, Shoemakersville and a son Paul Timothy Adam, Shoemakersville, five grandchildren, Bradley J. and Brandon J. Davis, Kristin E. Rosa and Alex R. and Dale R. Adam. A brother, J. Bruce Leiby, Windsor Township and a sister Elaine Weniger, Hacienda Heights, Calif. also survives Fern. A son, Roger H. Adam on January 2, 2016 and a sister, Ella Mae Wessner, predeceased her. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 29 in Zion's Church, 770 Zion's Church Road, Hamburg, PA 19526 where memorial contributions may be directed in lieu of flowers. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service with burial in Zion's Cemetery. The Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
