Felix J. Kopfer

Felix J. Kopfer, Jr., 86, of Laureldale, died May 28, 2011 in ManorCare, Laureldale.

His wife, Catherine B. (Hennes) Kopfer, died February 11, 1999.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Felix J., Sr. and Rose (Liebezeit) Kopfer.

He was a 1943 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a 1952 graduate of Albright College.

Felix was the owner of Felix J. Kopfer Insurance Agency, Reading until his retirement in YEAR.

He was a member of the Musicians Union Local and had his own bands in the Reading area from 1942 to 1992.

Felix was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran, serving in WWII. He was also a member of the Army Air Force Band.

He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Hyde Park.

Felix is survived by his step-son, Carey L. Yeager, reading; several cousins, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 am in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Hyde Park. Viewings will be held Tuesday 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale and Wednesday 10:30 - 11:00 am in the Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
