Evelyn Jeanne Weis

Evelyn Jeanne (Bene) Weis, 59, passed away December 10, 2014 in her Muhlenberg Township home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the loving wife of Ralph Gerhard Weis, whom she married 40 years ago on September 21, 1974.

Born July 1, 1955 in Buffalo, NY, she was a daughter of the late James and Phyllis (Ball) Bene.

She was a 1973 graduate of Kenmore West High School.

Evelyn worked as a daycare worker for several years. She also worked at Tray-Pak Corp. and Wendy's.

She was a member of Shillington Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her two children: Suzanne M. Weis, Muhlenberg Township; and Christopher P., husband of Jenna Weis, Kenhorst. Also surviving are her siblings: Paul, husband of Kathy Bene, Niagara Falls, NY; Patricia, wife of Kenny Eicheldinger, Buffalo, NY; Nicholas, husband of Lynn Bene, Reading; and Stephen Bene, Shillington. Five grandchildren: Brandon, Cameryn, Jane, Samuel and Finn also survive her.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A Viewing will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shillington Church of Christ, 475 Philadelphia Avenue, Shillington, PA 19607.
