Evelyn V. Bachman

Evelyn V. Bachman, 86, of Exeter Twp. died November 5, 2007 in Reading Hospital.

Her husband, Karl Bachman died July 20, 2007. They were married October 18, 1947.

Born August 25, 1921 in Spartanburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Ellie (Hill) Finch.

She was a graduate of Reading High School in 1939.

Mrs. Bachman was a military wife for 30 years having traveled the world; moving 26 times supporting her husband and country.

Evelyn was an exceptional mother and devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra L. Tucker, and Deborah J. wife of Christy Elliott, all of Wyomissing; and one son, Karl Mike husband of Laurie Bachman, Villanova. Nine grandchildren, Bryn, Ross, John, Mark, Katie, Graham and Megan; and two great-granddaughters, Caroline and Whitney also survive her. She was predeceased by 9 siblings.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour before the service. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com
