Evelyn C. Reider

Evelyn C. "Dolly" Reider, 86, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018, in her Muhlenberg Twp. residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of Joseph J. Reider, who died April 23, 2013.

Born April 23, 1932 in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Mabel L. (Boyer) Brown.

Evelyn was employed as an accountant for 15 years, working for Snack World Inc., Reading, Square Deal Fruit, Snack World Outlet , Valley Distributing, and Krick's Corner. She retired in 1999.

She was a member of West Wyomissing Chapel, West Lawn.

Evelyn is survived by a daughter; Susan M., widow of Barry Hiester, Casper, Wyoming: and a son, Rev. Dr. Brett, husband of Terri Reider, Womelsdorf. Six grandchildren: Brett, Jr., Melissa, Cash, and Eric Reider, Lori Utton, and Joel Hiester; and seven great grandchildren: Mason, Baileigh, and Faith Hiester, Mateo and Mikal Lamos, Anna Szczesny and Adria Reider also survive her.

In addition to her husband and son in law, Evelyn was predeceased by her granddaughter, Erin L. Reider, her great grandson, William Hiester; and two sisters: Jane Shade and Shirley Cutler.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at 11 a.m., at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606. A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at West Wyomissing Chapel, 2055 Reading Blvd., West Lawn, PA 19609.
