Evelyn Martinez - Palermo

Evelyn Martinez-Palermo, 82, was welcomed by the good Lord on July 13, 2021, in her Reading residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Blanca Martinez.

Evelyn was employed as a Legal Secretary for over 15 years and previously worked for Central PA Legal Services and other law firms in Berks County.

She was a member of the Divine Divas of South Florida Chapter of Red Hat Society.

Evelyn enjoyed traveling, taking trips to casinos, dancing salsa, listening to Spanish music, solving crossword puzzles, playing bingo and crocheting, but most importantly spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by her six children, Efrain (Papo) Palermo, Portland, OR; Arlene (Titi) Rodriguez, Reading; Ana Theresa Palermo, Mount Juliet, TN; Nancy Palermo, Reading; Daniel (Tony) his wife Tammy Palermo, Harrisburg; and Carlos (Charles) Cintron, Reading. Evelyn is also survived by her 18 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her two grandsons, Mustafa Ibn Karriem and Alfonso Brown.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 5153 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA 19560 with burial to follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens.
