Evelyn Lopez

Evelyn Lopez, 45, passed away October 15, 2017, after a long battle with cancer in her Robesonia residence.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Margarita Lopez, Reading and the late Juan Serrano.

Evelyn was a 1990 graduate of Reading High School and Berks Technical Institute. where she received an Associate's Degree in Medical Science.

She was employed by Carim Eye & Retinal Center for over 14 1/2 years.

Evelyn was an avid reader and enjoyed shopping. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Evelyn was a very inspirational woman and her memory will live on through her strength and her family.

She is survived by her three daughters, Cynthia M. Hernandez, Pasadena, MD; Erica L. Hernandez, Sinking Spring; and Jessica L. Hernandez, Robesonia; four grandchildren, Jeremiah Mixon, Bella Hernandez, Janiya Pierre, Ashanti Pierre. She is also survived by the father of her 3 children, Eddie Hernandez, and brother-in-law, Peter Hernandez Sr.; her seven siblings, Maria Serrano, Tito Lopez, Joey Lopez, Ramonita Serrano, Lucy Serrano, Efrain Serrano and Elizabeth Serrano; nephews, Joshua Lopez, Michael Soto, Joseph Soto, Angel Soto, and Peter Hernandez Jr., and other numerous nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was predeceased by her brother, Angel Lopez.

Celebration Of Life Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
