Evelyn V. Kemp

Evelyn V. Kemp 81 of Leesport died Thursday, May 7th in ManorCare, Laureldale, PA. She was born May 5th, 1934 and was the daughter of the late William J. and Stella J. (Miller) Miller. Evelyn was the widow of Robert L. Kemp who died February 7, 1992. She was a 1952 graduate of Perry High School and the Reading Business Institute in 1954. Evelyn also graduated in 1974 from the Reading-Muhlenberg Vo-Tech receiving her L.P.N. She worked for several years at Community General Hospital and last worked for seven years at The Reading Hospital retiring in 1994. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Leesport and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Shoemakersville Fire Company. Her two daughters survive Evelyn, Renee L. wife of Brian Miller, Paoli, Sharon J. wife of Larry Mengle, Leesport and one son, Douglas L. husband of Mary Beth Kemp Windsor Township, and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two sisters also survive Evelyn, Mary Jane Donaldson, Bellevue, WA. and Dorothy wife of Paul Miller, Shoemakersville. A brother, Adam D. Miller, predeceased her. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg.
