Eva B. Breunig

Eva B. Breunig, 89, formerly of West Reading, died Jan. 1 at 8:25 a.m. in Pickering Manor, Newtown, Bucks County, where she had been a patient since Dec. 16.

Her husband, Karl Breunig, died June 16, 1994.

Born in Austria-Hungary, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Katherine (Wesinger) Brenner.

Breunig had been employed for many years as a seamstress by several area knitting mills, and last worked 23 years as a seamer for Berkshire Knitting Mills, Wyomissing, retiring in 1974.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

Breunig is survived by a half brother, Milton J. Hershberger, Rancocas, N.J., and a half sister, Katherine T. (Hershberger) Shaffer, Yardley, Bucks County.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
