Eugene J. Schuchart

Eugene J. Schuchart, 84 of Wyomissing, formerly of West Reading, died September 20, 2007, in the Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of the late Lucy C. (Torchia) Schuchart who died June 13, 2000.

Born September 6, 1923 he was the son of the late Augustus and Margaret (Strausbach) Schuchart.

Eugene was a 1941 graduate of Reading Catholic High School.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

Eugene worked as an Industrial Engineer for Dana Corp. Parish Frame Division for 30 years retiring in 1983.

He served in the United States Marines during WWII and during the Korean War.

Eugene is survived by two sons Timothy E.Schuchart, husband of Cynthia, Exeter Township, and Jeffrey S. Schuchart, Wyomissing.

Other survivors include a brother Donald J. Schuchart, Sinking Spring, and a sister Mary Catherine (Schuchart) Polyak, Reading.

Two grandchildren Brian Schuchart and Lauren Schuchart also survive him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:00a.m. in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
