Eugene Joseph Rutkoski

Eugene J. Rutkoski, 70, Spring Township, died Monday, November 5, 2012, at home following a lengthy illness.

He was the husband of Ann T. (Gormican), to whom he was married for thirty-five years.

Born in Washington, DC on June 4, 1942, he was a son of the late Ignatius and Latane (Smithdeal) Rutkoski.

Eugene received his B.S.E. from the Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO and his M.B.A. from the University of Denver.

He served in the US Army from 1964 to 1966.

Eugene was employed as a metallurgist at Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company, Inspiration, AZ; the former General Battery Corporation, Reading, PA and as a private consultant before retiring in 1999.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Jennifer A., of New York, NY; Thomas J., of Philadelphia and Sarah E., of San Diego, CA.

Other survivors include a brother, William M. Rutkoski of Chandler, AZ and nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 9th at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, (Muhlenberg Township) Reading, PA 19605. No public viewing.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Ignatius Memorial Fund, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Sinking Spring, PA 19608 or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Delaware Valley Chapter, PO Box 8168, Philadelphia, PA 19101-8168.
