Eugene Long

Eugene Frederick Long of Spring Township, passed into God's world on December 21, 2015 at Reading Hospital. He was a man of good heart and compassion.

Born in Canandaigua, New York on April 24, 1941, he was a son of the late Ira Frederick and Clara (Bennett) Long.

Gene has a brother and two sisters. He was the husband of Marilyn Connor Long. He is the father of four children: Roy, Rick, Russ and Rebecca. Gene is the grandfather of nine grandsons: Russell the younger, Rian, Robert, Randy, Andrew, Alex, Aden, Christopher and Stephen and five granddaughters: Annie, Abbi, Ariel, Jasmine and Hannah.

Gene was a Civil Engineer graduate of Norwich University. He was employed for several years by Gilbert Associates.

He was a participant with a team which constructed a town in Saudi Arabia.

Gene was employed by Bogia Engineering, last working Friday, December 18.

He loved playing pinochle with his wife and the boys at Lily field.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in West Lawn United Methodist Church, 15 Woodside Ave.

West Lawn, Pa. 19609. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from
