Eugene L. Budgeon

Eugene Lee Budgeon, 79, of Exeter Township, died June 18, 2009 in the Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Joan Ann (Adams) Budgeon, of Exeter Township, whom he married February 18, 1950.

Born July 4, 1929 in Conygham, Luzerne County, he was a son of the late Frank and Gertrude (Houseknecht) Budgeon.

Eugene was employed as a salesman for J.C. Ehrlich Company, Reading for 38 years, retiring in 1992.

He was a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C. Church, Exeter Township.

Also surviving are two sons: Mark D., husband of Gail A. Budgeon of Woodbridge, VA and Alan D. Budgeon, Sr. of Exeter Township.

In addition, there is a brother, Wilson Budgeon of Drums, Luzerne County; a sister, Gladys (Budgeon) Sherman of Daltona, FL and two grandsons, Mark Kyle Budgeon and Alan David Budgeon, Jr.

Eugene was predeceased by a daughter Paula Marie Budgeon, May 29, 2007 and a brother Charles Budgeon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Muhlenberg Township, by Rev. Ronald P. Bowman. A viewing will be held from 8:30-9:30 at Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
