Eugene A. Batastini, 86, of Wyomissing, passed away on August 12th in his residence.
His wife, Jean E. (Eshelman) Batastini, passed away on October 31, 1997.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Paul and Mary (D'Agostino) Batastini.
He was a graduate of Mt. Penn High School and Albright College.
Eugene worked as an engineer for Western Electric for 24 years until his retirement in 1982.
He was a Navy Veteran of World War II.
Eugene was a member of St. Ignatius of Loyola R.C Church, Whitfield.
He is survived by one son, Bradley E. husband of Beth A. Batastini of Newton, NJ, and one daughter, Gail L. Batastini of Wyomissing.
Eugene is also survived by three brothers, Raymond Batastini of Pennside, George Batastini of Flying Hills and Paul Batastini of Cherry Hill, NJ.
There are also three grandchildren, Nicholas Batastini, Eric Allatta, and Danielle Allatta.
He was predeceased by one brother, Albert Batastini, and two sisters, Adeline (Batastini) Campbell and Louise Batastini.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Loyola RC Church, 2810 Saint Albans Drive, West Lawn, Pa 19609. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. Friends may call Thursday from 6:30 till 8:30 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. at the Kuhn Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to St. Ignatius of Loyola RC Church at the above address, Animal Rescue League, PO Box 69, Mohnton, Pa 19540, and Humane Society 1801 North 11th Street, Reading, Pa 19604. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, is in charge of the arrangements.
