Ethel R. Flemming

Ethel R. Flemming, 99, of Wyomissing, died September 13 in ManorCare, Sinking Spring where she had been since August 30.

Her husband T. Clair Flemming died September 24, 1975.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Mary Heckman.

Mrs. Flemming was a store manager for Zipf's Candies, Reading and later West Reading, for 50 years retiring in 1982.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading, where she was a member of both the Altar Society and the Sacred Heart Seniors.

Mrs. Flemming was the former secretary for the Central Catholic Mother's Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Claire D. Flemming, with whom she resided and Margaret M. (Flemming) Place, Sinking Spring. Other survivors include one brother, Charles W. Hoshauer, Wyomissing and one granddaughter, Margaret Anne Place.

She was predeceased by one daughter, Anne Marie Flemming, who died May 4, 1966.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius R.C.C., Whitfield. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
