Ethel V. Orth

Ethel V. Orth, 86, formerly of Elverson, died June 9 at 4:16 p.m. in Berks Heim Annex, where she had resided since Sept. 6, 2001.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Stanley K. and Helen R. (Sands) Eckert.

Orth was employed for 10 years as a caregiver for pets by the Animal Rescue League, Cumru Township, retiring in 1979.

Surviving is a sister, Dorothy (Eckert) Volutza, Reading.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia A. Orth, in 2001.

Services will be private. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
