Ethel J. Fick

Ethel J. Fick, 87 of Temple died on March 21, 2008 at 4:48 a.m. in her residence.

She was the wife of the late Amos Wentzel Fick, who died in 2000.

Born on November 14, 1920 in Temple, she was a daughter of the late Howard Elmer and Eva (Gehris) Schmeck.

Ethel was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ.

Surviving are two children: Patricia Ann (Fick), wife of Jack A. Turesky of East Amherst, NY and Dennis Craig, husband of Deborah J. (Botch) Fick of Temple.

There are two brothers, Roy Schmeck of Laureldale and Bernard Schmeck of Alsace Township and four sisters, Jane (Schmeck) Geible of Laureldale, Leona (Schmeck) Boyer of Temple, Hilda Schmeck of Hyde Park and Sylvia (Schmeck) Krott of Temple.

In addition there are six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister Jenny Schmeck.

Services will be Tuesday at noon in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Spies-Zion Cemetery, Alsace Township.
