Esther P. Wheeler

Esther Pauline (Chilcote) Wheeler, 68, died May 5, 2007 at 9:00 am in her Muhlenberg Township residence.

She was the widow of Elmer James Wheeler, Jr., who died January 21, 1994.

Born March 1, 1939 in Mapleton Depot, Huntington County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Edward and Myrtle (Querry) Chilcote.

She was a 1957 graduate of Saltillo Joint High School, Huntington County.

Esther was employed six years in the fabric department with Wal-Mart, Muhlenberg Township, last working in November.

She was a member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Tuckerton.

Esther is survived by two sons, Ernie J. husband of Heather N. (Williamson) Wheeler of Rockport, Texas and David E. Wheeler of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include a sister, Jane (Chilcote) Lauver and two brothers, Wilmer "Bud" Chilcote and Ralph Chilcote both of Huntington County.

There are also two step grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale with the Rev. Dr. Robert A. Stewart officiating. Viewings will be held Tuesday 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Wednesday 9:30 am until time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
