Esther F. Shoemaker

Esther F. Shoemaker, 91, Ruscombmanor Township, died Aug. 30 at 9:50 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient one day.

Her husband, Irvin C. Shoemaker, died Oct. 28, 1993.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Clara (Ebersbach) Starke.

Shoemaker was last employed for several years as a pairer by the Rosedale Knitting Mills, Laureldale.

She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Temple.

Surviving is a son, Jerry C. Hurst, Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.

Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton.
