Esther M. Rolland

Esther M. Rolland, 87 of Hamburg died in the Reading Hospital, Tower Health on April 26, 2018. Esther was the widow of Robert G. Rolland who died July 6, 2014. She was born in West Reading, PA and was the daughter of the late Raymond C. and Anna L. (Kallenbach) Schaeffer.

She worked with her husband for 21 years at Rolland's Food Market, Hamburg and later worked at the BCIU for four years as a teacher's aide and last worked at the Hamburg Center as a residential aide retiring in 1991. Esther was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg and the Ladies Auxiliary Union Fire Company #1, Hamburg. Esther is survived by her son, Bruce N. Rolland, Shoemakersville, two daughters, Brenda A. Rolland, West Lawn and Barbara wife of Zane Barrall, Tilden Township, two grandsons, Westley and Zachary and great- great grandchildren, Abigail, Jackson and Rosabella.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. Hamburg with the viewing starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg.
