Esther R. Bell, 83, of Reading, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2012, at the Highlands of Wyomissing.
She was born on December 3, 1928 in Hummelstown, PA, to the late Michael E. and Martha Book (Heisey) Bell.
Esther was a 1945 graduate of Hummelstown High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Lebanon Valley College in 1949.
Professionally, Esther was a pathologist for Reading Hospital for 34 years.
Esther was an avid golfer, birder, photographer and loved to travel, domestically and aborad.
Her favorite travel destinations were the US National Parks. She loved animals, especially her pet cats, Goblin and Maggie.
She is survived by her sister, Erma, wife of Jonathan Forry of Lancaster, PA.
Esther was predeceased by two brothers, Ammon E. Bell and Lloyd E. Bell and a sister, Anna Mary Bell Light.
The extended Bell family is planning a celebration of Esther's life when the family gathers together at Christmas time. We will miss your smile, your wit, and your independent spirit Aunt Esther. Love you...until we meet again.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated Sunday, November 18, at 3 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
