Esther M. Harris

Esther M. Harris, 85, formerly of Fairfield Street, Laureldale, died July 6 at 12:40 p.m. in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township, where she had resided since Feb. 15.

Her husband, Edwin H., died Nov. 23, 1971.

Born on November 14, 1916 in Colebrookdale Township, she was a daughter of the late Elias W. and Stella (Conrad) Eddinger.

Harris had been employed 25 years as a bench hand by Western Electric Co., retiring in 1982.

She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Temple.

Harris is survived by a brother, Lawrence Eddinger of Mount Penn, and by five sisters: Verna (Eddinger) Zellers, Leesport; Hilda (Eddinger) Hoffman, Northmont; Mabel (Eddinger) Sander, Hamburg; Betty (Eddinger) Culp, Blandon; and Ruth (Eddinger) Evans, Laureldale.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Viewing Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
