Esther E. Hershberger

Esther E. Hershberger, 96 formerly of Cumru Township died in the Laurel Center on Wednesday, March 13th where she had resided the past 12 years. She was the widow of Claude Hershberger who died December 4, 1971. Esther was born in W. Reading and was the daughter of the late Harry and Pauline Steininger. She is survived by a son: William Hershberger, Sr. and his wife Mary Lou of Tilden Township, 1 daughter, Evelyn wife of Joseph DeSimone of Gouglersville, grandsons: Brian Travis, Steven husband of Amy Beth Travis and a step grandson, Robert Drum. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Owen and Reghan Travis. Esther was predeceased by a grandson, William Hershberger, Jr., four sisters: Anna, May, Jenny and Marguerite, and two brothers: John and Ralph. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th St. Hamburg. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff at Laurel Center for their 12 years of loving and devoted care to Esther.
