Estelle J. (Vecchio) Yeager, 77, of Wyomissing Hills, died April 18, 2010 in her daughter's Shillington residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the widow of William F. "Wild Bill" Yeager, who died March 12, 1983. She was the companion of David Frymoyer.
Born August 26, 1932 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Leonardo and Carmela (Vecchio) Vecchio, who were former partners of ATV Bakery, Reading.
Estelle was a 1951 graduate of Reading High School.
She was self-employed as a land lord for 15 years.
Estelle was a founding member and on the Board of Directors of REIA - Real Estate Investors Association.
Best known for her fabulous cooking and her open house hospitality to all, Estelle was a mom to many who selflessly opened up her heart and home to those in need.
Surviving are three children: Dean L. Rohrbach, Kimberly D. (Yeager) Shrom and Lisa J. (Yeager) Liptock.
There are also four step-children surviving: William Yeager, Jr., Carey Yeager, Anthony Yeager and Karen (Yeager) Fink.
Other survivors include eight grandchildren: Kenneth J. Shrom, III, Brittany Shrom, Kristina Shrom, Joshua Liptock, Audriana Liptock, Alicia Degler, Rebecca Blough and Nathanael Fink and two great grandchildren, Caitlyn Shrom and Kenneth J. Shrom, IV.
Estelle was predeceased by two sisters, Josephine (Vecchio) Strock and Eleanor Vecchio.
A viewing will be Thursday at 10 a.m. with the service following at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
