Estelita S. Feather

Estelita "Lita" Stubbe Feather, 88, of Hilltown Township, passed away on August 16, 2024 at The Willows, Hatfield. Born in Baltimore, MD, Lita was the daughter of Edwin Howard Feather, Sr. of Pennsylvania and Estelita Stubbe Cestero of Puerto Rico.

Lita graduated from Radnor High School in 1953 before earning a Bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware. She dedicated 31 years of her career to working as a dental assistant prior to her retirement.

Lita was a vibrant personality celebrated for her delicious cooking and sharp memory. The mosaic of Lita's life was created by her extended family and her assortment of eclectic friends. A passionate music lover, she performed opera with the New York City Opera Company in NY and the Savoy Company in Chester County PA. Her heart belonged to the beach, particularly Long Beach Island, and she relished her travels across Europe. With a remarkable memory, she tackled the New York Times daily crossword with ease and regularly mastered Jeopardy, though she had no desire to compete on the TV show.

Lita is survived by her nieces and nephews, which she cherished as if they were her own: Edwin Howard Feather III, husband of Sarah, of Fort Washington, PA, Carol Halcovage, wife of Fran, of Hatfield, PA, Christine Sullivan, wife of Jim, of Bridgeport, PA, Timothy Feather, husband of Beth, of Hopkinton, MA, and Terence "Terry" Feather, of Wayne, PA. Also surviving are many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Edwin Howard Feather, Jr. and his wife Mayleen, along with many beloved pets who she referred to as her children.
