Esparanta René, 87, of Reading, died December 28, 2007 at 10:25 pm in ManorCare Health Services, West Reading, where she had been a patient since December 15, 2007.

She was born October 19, 1920 in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti she was a daughter of the late Merthil René and Anne Melie Desire.

Esparanta is survived by three daughters, Paulette René of Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, Chantal René of Montreal, Canada and Soeurette Saint-Preux of Reading.

Other survivors include seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 11:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be held Thursday 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading. For online condolences, visit www.kuhnfuneralhome.com
