Ernesto Fuentes Rosado

Ernesto Fuentes Rosado, 82, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away February 14, 2018, in the Reading Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Aida Iris (Dorta) Rosado, with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Born in Hatillo, PR, he was the son of the late Juan Fuentes and Maria Rosado.

Ernesto was employed by Birdsboro Steel Corporation for 22 years and retired from the City of Reading Water Authority.

He was member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Reading. He was one of the participants of the Charismatic Renewal Group, a Cursillista, a member of the Holy Name Society, participant of El Movimiento de Juan XXIII, and a participant in the Apostolate of Divine Mercy in the church.

Ernesto enjoyed spending quality time with his immediate family. He enjoyed playing Dominoes with them and dancing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Nytza I., wife of Manuel A. Santiago, Muhlenberg Twp. He is also survived by his five siblings, Juana Morales, Rafael Fuentes, Angelica Betancourt, Aida Torres and Israel Fuentes; five grandchildren, Alexis M. (Santiago), wife of Carlos Mendez, Adriana M. Santiago, Ernesto Fuentes III, Zayira Fuentes, and Roxanna Fuentes; and two great-grandchildren, Sebastian Fuentes and Logan A. Mendez Santiago.

Ernesto was predeceased by his son, Ernesto Fuentes Jr., and three siblings, Edith Fuentes, Rosa Galan, and Teresa Centeno.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, on Wednesday, 2/21/18 at 10 am in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 322 S 5th St, Reading, PA 19602, with entombment to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, 2/20/18 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
