Ernest G. Lubbeke

Ernest G. Lubbeke, 80, passed away September 2, 2017.

He was a loving husband to Maryjane H. (Coyle-Young) Lubbeke, they were to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary this September 18th.

Ernie was the proud father of Lynne A. Burns of West Reading and the stepfather of Scott A. Young of Pittsburgh.

He received his degree in Mechanical Engineering and was a proud alumnus of the first graduating class of Penn State Berks after they merged with Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute in 1956.

Ernie was retired from Textile Machine Works and Quaker Maid Kitchens. A life long West Reading resident,

Ernie and his wife enjoyed taking trips to Lancaster County to explore the rolling farmlands and eating hotdogs at Schell's a favorite food stop of his.

Ernie often attended Zion Baptist Church in Reading with Maryjane.
