Erma A. Adam

Erma A. Adam, 93 of Perry Township died November 24th in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the widow of Russell C. Adam who died May 6, 1989. Erma was born in Ontelaunee Township and was the daughter of the late Charles and Lizzie (Dries) Swoyer. She was the owner and operator of Erma's Beauty Shop which she ran from her home. She worked for 39 years as a beautician before retiring in 1976. She was a member of St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville and the ladies auxiliary to the Shoemakersville Fire Company. Erma is survived by two sons: David C. at home and Daniel K. husband of Debra Adam of Perry Township and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be private.
