Enrico E. Merlino

Enrico E. Merlino, 87, died July 31, 2009 in his Muhlenberg Twp. residence.

He was the widower of Mary D. (Dudash) Merlino.

Born in Schuykill Haven, he was a son of the late Fred and Lillian (Rouse) Merlino.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WW II, a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard and the American Legion Post 0635, Shillington.

Enrico was the owner operator of Ed Merlino Painting and Decorating. He was a member of: the Painters Union of Reading/Allentown and of the IPATI, International Painters and Allied Trades Industry. He is survived by his daughter, Madeline T., wife of Charles J. Hagan, Jr., Windermere, FL; his brother, Fred Jr., Zelienopl and his two sisters, Helen Donetti and Rose Marie Nebistinsky, both of Schuylkill Haven. Four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive him.

He was predeceased by a daughter, and a granddaughter.

Services will be Wednsday at 10 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Online condolences may be recorded at www.christfuneralhome.com.
