Emmie Lou (Faust) Steeley 1916-2011. Emmie Steeley, 95, formerly of Hamburg, passed away peacefully, on September 22, 2011 in Lehigh Valley Hospice, 17th & Chew Sts. Allentown. She had been a patient there since September 8th, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Irene A. (Schinkel) and G. Clayton Faust. She was the wife of the late Harry Steeley who died April 21, 1987. Emmie resided with her son, Harry (Skip) Steeley and his wife, Shawna (Adams) Steeley in Shoemakersville for the last 3 ½ years. In addition to her son and daughter and law, she is survived by a grandson, Tadd husband of Jennifer (Gutekunst) Steeley and a step-granddaughter, Saja L. Stark, partner of Dr. Ronald Grapsy. Emmie is also survived by her sister, Irene "Pud" Fenstermacher. There are also several nieces and nephews. Emmie was predeceased by her brothers, Wilmer "Bud", Earl "Fat", Guy and Chester. Emmie was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hamburg. When she was younger, she enjoyed bowling, her dogs, and antiquing with her late husband, Harry. Emmie worked 41 years as the payroll clerk for Burkey Knitting Mills of Hamburg, and she also managed their outlet store. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 27th in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg, at 11:00 AM. There is no service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity or Lehigh Valley Hospice, 17th and Chew Sts., Allentown, PA.
