Emma Di Vito

Emma (Scarpitti) Di Vito, 79, of Wyomissing, died September 3, 2012, in Kindred Healthcare.

Her husband, Domenico P. Di Vito, died December 23, 1996.

Born in Roccasicura, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Rosa (Franceschetti) Scarpitti.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

Emma loved gardening and flowers; she also enjoyed cooking and baking.

She was very proud of her pristine lawn with nary a leaf to clutter it.

Emma is survived by two children, Giuseppe, husband of Pasqualina Di Vito, Bronx, NY and Pasquale, husband of Vincenza "Enza" Di Vito, Wyomissing; three siblings, Raffaele Scarpitti, Queens, NY, Eduardo Scarpitti, Italy and Lina Lombardi, Queens, NY; three grandchildren, Stefania Emma, Domenico Pasquale and Samantha Joy and one great-granddaughter, Briana Lina Vukdedaj.

She was predeceased by her brother, Vincenzo Scarpitti.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611.
