Emma B. Moyer

Emma B. Moyer, 85, of Elkhart IN, formerly of Reading, passed away at 11:53 PM Monday, May 28, 2007, in Elkhart General Hospital where she had been a patient for one day.

She was born in Reading on Feb. 13, 1922, to Joshua L. and Helen (Wrightmeyer) Hoffman. On May 15, 1943, she married Earl T. Moyer. He predeceased her in death in February 1990.

Emma is survived by a daughter, Patricia, wife of Dr. Gerard E. Reinert, Elkhart IN; 2 grandsons Craig G. (Monica) Reinert of Overland Park KS and Jeffrey E. (Amy) Reinert of Goshen IN; and three great grandchildren Angela S. & Julianne E. of Goshen IN and Jakob G. of Overland Park KS.

She is also survived by one brother Kenneth Hoffman, Reading; and one sister Ethel V. Hummel, Wentzville MO; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister Esther Hooper, Bellevue WA.

Emma was a 1939 graduate of Reading High School. She was a Homemaker; and was also employed for several years at Althouse Chemical Co. and Polymer Corp.

She was a volunteer for over 20 years for the CAPS for Kids organization.

Services and burial will be private.
