Emma L. Mengel

Emma L. Mengel, 86 formerly of Hamburg and currently of Blandon died August 8, 2015 in St. Joseph's Medical Center, Bern Township. Her husband George I. Mengel died October 31, 2011. She was born August 9 1928 in Andreas and was the daughter of the late Charles and Caroline I. (Grube) Haas. She worked as an anesthesia technician at Allentown Hospital for ten years and then worked for twelve years at the Grand Union Company, Hopewell Junction, NY as the general foods manager retiring in 1982. Two brothers survive her, DelRoy husband of Hazel Haas, New Ringgold and Charles L. "Buddy" husband of Mickey Haas of Durham, NC. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 14th from 11:00 to 12:00 Noon at the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. 40 South.4th Street, Hamburg. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 Noon.
