Emma Lugo Diaz

Emma Lugo Diaz, 74, of Reading, passed away May 13, 2017 in the Reading Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of the late Miguel A. Diaz, with whom she celebrated 57 years of marriage before his passing.

Born in Aduntas, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Gregorio and Hipolita Lugo.

Emma was a member of St. Peter' s Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

She was employed by Cat's Meow as a machine operator until her retirement.

Emma's passion was her family and making sure they were always taken care of.

She is survived by four children, Migdalia Albarran, Reading; Marilyn Lugo -Montalvo, Reading; Blanca, wife of Francisco Hernandez, Mohrsville; and Angel E. Diaz, Reading. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Emma was predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, May 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Reading, with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday, May 18, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Kuhn Funeral Home and Crematory, 5153 Kutztown Rd., Temple. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., is in charge of arrangements.
