Emma L. (Wegman) Rapp Schumacher, 100, formerly of 4610 10th Avenue, Temple died December 12th at 8:55 a.m. in the Masonic Home of the R.W. Grand Lodge, Elizabethtown, Lancaster County where she had been since February 5, 1992.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Irwin D. Rapp who died June 1942 and also by her second husband, Edward Schumacher who died in 1982.
Born in Exeter Township she was a daughter of the late Levi and Hettie (Moyer) Wegman.
She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, Temple.
Schumacher was a life member of the Scottish Rite Bodies Ladies auxiliary and a former secretary for the Ladies auxiliary of the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
She was a member and former Warder of the Elizabeth Herr Chapter #131, Order of the Eastern Star.
Schumacher is survived by three daughters, Alice L. (Rapp) wife of Frank Seward of Merritt Island, Florida, Shirley A. (Rapp) wife of Natale D. Napoletano of Muhlenberg Park and Sylvia M. (Rapp) wife of John Heffner of Perryville, Maryland.
She is also survived by a son, Curtis V. Rapp of Cumru Township.
Other survivors include 12 Grandchildren, 3 Step-Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 5 Step Great Grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a step-son, Edward Schumacher Jr., and a step-daughter, Mary (Schumacher) Haverty.
Services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Epiphany Lutheran Church, 631 North Temple Blvd., Temple, Pa 19560. Viewing will be held Sunday evening 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Masonic Homes, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, Pa 17022-2199 or to Epiphany Lutheran Church at the above address.
