Emilie I. Maslar, 89, formerly of Sinking Spring, died May 27, 2007 at 11:50 a.m. in ManorCare, Sinking Spring, where she had been for 2 1/2 years.
Her husband, Frank J. Maslar died in 1982.
Born in Plowville, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Hannah (White) O'Neill.
She was employed by Berkshire Knitting Mills for 15 years until her retirement.
Mrs. Maslar was a member of St. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include one daughter, Frances C. (Maslar) Oxenford, Wernersville. There are also three grandchildren, Linda Harbach, Jill Walsh and Karen Oxenford-Melcher; and four great grandchildren, Brett and Kyle Harbach; and Pamela and Theresa Walsh. Two brothers, Benjamin O'Neill, Shillington and Bernard O'Neill, Reading; and two sisters, Catherine (O'Neill) Maslar, Sinking Spring and Loretta (O'Neill) Arnold, Grill also survive her.
A viewing will be held Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Family and friends are invited to gather Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Cyril and Methodius R.C.C. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
