Emil Otto Rosenast

Dr. Emil Otto Rosenast, Jr., 86, died February 11, 2013, in The Highlands.

He was the husband of Diane (Wallace) Rosenast.

Born in Merchantville, NJ, he was the son of the late Dr. Emil Otto Rosenast and Rebecca Temple Swing Rosenast.

Otto was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

He was a graduate of The Peddie School, Tufts University and University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Rosenast was an orthodontist and founding partner of the Reading Orthodontic Group. He retired in June of 1994.

He was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

Otto was the former president of the Berks County Dental Society and the Berkshire Country Club, and a member of Mensa and the Maidencreek Fish and Game Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Kurt W., husband of Vicki Rosenast, Lawrenceville, NJ. There are two sisters, Nancy Gillam, Cherry Hill, NJ and Gail Shelley, Huntington, NY. Two grandchildren, Ian and Cameron, also survive him.

Services and burial in Colestown Cemetery, NJ will be private at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
