Elwood F. Leffler

Elwood F. Leffler, 89, formerly of Wyomissing, died June 18, 2009 in Kutztown Manor.

He was the widow of Jeannette M. (Mohring) Leffler.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Milton H. and Helen (Hagamayer) Leffler.

Elwood was employed for 37 1/2 years by Dana Corporation as a Press Operator, retiring in 1987.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps, serving during World War II.

Elwood was a member of the Reading Chapter of the Barber Shop Chorus for many years.

He is survived by his son, Allan E. Leffler, Reinholds, his brother, Wesley Leffler, Greenfields, two grandchildren, Mark, husband of Stacey Leffler and Nicole, wife of Michael Leskin, Jr.; and two great-grandsons, Thomas Leffler and Michael Leskin, III.

Elwood was predeceased by one grandson, Eric Leffler, who died in 2005; five brothers, Frederick, Milton, William, Carl and Raymond; and two sisters, Ruth and Helen.

Graveside Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
