Elvira R. Versaci

Elvira R. Versaci, 94, of Longmont died February 14, 2007 at Longmont United Hospital.

She was born May 20, 1912 in Philadelphia, PA to Michael and Catherine (Benuto) Versaci.

Miss Versaci graduated from Immaculata College with a Bachelors of Science degree in Music.

She was the Music Supervisor for the Philadelphia School system, and retired in 1978.

She was a native of Philadelphia and moved to Longmont in 2004, residing at Alterra Sterling House.

Miss Versaci was of the Catholic faith, a member of the Piano Music Guild, and the Matinee Music Club in Philadelphia. Teaching was her life and she enjoyed orchestra, choir and school music shows. She also performed with the music guild at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by a brother and numerous nieces and nephews

Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday Feb. 23, 2007 at Walter Christ Funeral Home in Laureldale, PA. Interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery in Reading, PA. No local service will be held. Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in charge of local arrangements. Visit www.christfuneralhome.com to leave condolences.
