Elton F. Strause

Elton Forrest Strause, 85, died October 4, 2010 in his Ruscombmanor Township residence.

He was the husband of Eleanor Marvine (Labe) Strause, whom he married November 22, 1952.

Born April 6, 1925 in Reading, he was a son of the late James M. and Clara (Smith) Strause.

Elton was employed in maintenance with Camp Industries for 50 years, retiring in 1991.

He was a member of Blandon Fire Company and Pike Township Sportsman's Club.

Also surviving are two daughters, Bonnie L., wife of Michael T. Littlejohn of Maidencreek Township and Brenda L., wife of Kenneth A. Manwiller of Ruscombmanor Township.

In addition, he is survived by a sister, Helen C. Stufflet of Maidencreek Township, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
